How recommendations are chosen
We start with the job the equipment needs to perform: species suitability, compatibility, dimensions, electrical ratings, serviceability and manufacturer guidance. Commission does not turn an unsuitable product into a recommendation.
Why some links open a search instead of one product
Marketplace listings, sellers and availability can change. In guides where several products may be suitable, we may link to a clearly described Amazon Australia search category so you can compare current listings against the criteria in the guide.
Oddball products come first only when they make sense
We make custom physical habitat pieces such as backdrops, hides, ledges and related enclosure features. Specialist electrical products such as thermostats and UVB equipment are better sourced from established manufacturers. We keep those roles separate.
