Useful custom work starts with real-life context, not just a pretty picture.
The strongest briefs usually tell us three things at once: how the animal uses the space, what is not working right now, and what kind of feeling or finish you are chasing. Good reference images help — but so do practical photos, rough notes and “this bit here is the problem.”
- Show us the current setup, not just the inspiration image.
- Point out the awkward gap, the cleaning issue, the missing route or the underused space.
- Tell us if the final piece needs to be removable, washable, customer-installed or freight-friendly.
- Use inspiration photos to show mood, colour and direction — not as an exact copy request.

What should I include in my first enquiry?
The animal or species, what you would like made, the enclosure or space if relevant, rough dimensions if you have them, your postcode, timing and a couple of clear photos are an excellent start.
What if I do not know the exact measurements yet?
That is fine for the first conversation. Leave uncertain fields blank rather than guessing. We can tell you which measurements matter before a final quote or cut plan.
Can I send inspiration pictures?
Yes. Use them to show the feel, colour, shape or feature you like. Custom handmade work will not be an identical copy of someone else's piece, but references are very useful for understanding direction.
Does submitting an enquiry lock me into anything?
No. An enquiry lets us assess the idea. Scope, price, timing, deposit requirements and any booking are confirmed separately in writing.
Can you ship or can I collect?
Shipping, local delivery, collection and any installation arrangements depend on the size and project. We confirm the practical handover method during quoting.
How do I keep up with my enquiry or project?
Your enquiry confirmation gives you a private link. Once a project is underway, we can also issue a private customer project page for updates, files and approvals.

You do not need perfect measurements to start — but here is what helps most.
If the project needs to fit a real space, a few clear measurements and photos can save a lot of back-and-forth. Start with the obvious dimensions, then mention anything unusual such as tracks, vents, wiring, braces or existing fixtures.

Send internal usable width, height and depth if you know them, plus any tracks, vents, lighting cut-outs, doors or fixed features that affect the fit.
